Javier Martín is an architect graduated from the Polytechnic University of Valencia, Spain. He earned a masters degree in Technology from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design, were he also was a teaching assistant and collaborated with the Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Materials. His research interests focus on material innovation and construction processes. Javier is interested in new methods of fabrication and assembly, always with a twofold, sustainable as well as sensorial approach. Prior to joining Berlin International University of Applied Sciences, he has also taught at different universities in Chile, like the Catholic University and the University of Chile. On the professional field he has worked for Zvi Hecker in Berlin and his own professional practice has been internationally awarded. His work has been published and exhibited extensively, including at the Museum of Modern Art in NYC.
