Research Spotlight: Prof. Hynes Publishes on Postgraduate Wellbeing
We’re happy to share that Prof. Dr. Jennifer Hynes, Professor of Business Administration with a focus on Organisation & Management at Berlin International, has a forthcoming publication in the International Journal of Management in Education (IJMIE).
The article, titled “Postgraduate Student Mental Health: A Systematic Literature Review of Wellbeing Themes and Proposed Solutions,” was co-authored by Jennifer Hynes, Ayse Nur Ayibogan, and Hasan Koç. The paper takes a deep look into the wellbeing challenges faced by postgraduate students, exploring factors that influence mental health and offering practical solutions grounded in research.
Using the PRISMA and PICO frameworks, the team analysed 24 studies and identified key wellbeing themes, barriers, and future directions for supporting students during their master’s and doctoral studies.
This publication is also a story of collaboration and mentorship. Ayse Nur joined Prof. Hynes last year as an Erasmus intern — a partnership that has now resulted in this international research success.
We’re proud to see such meaningful work emerging from our community, combining academic rigor with genuine care for student wellbeing.
