Welcome Days 2023 approaching!

The Welcome Days for the new academic year 2023/24 will take place to ensure a successful start to studies at Berlin International. The event, which lasts several days, aims to provide our first-year students with the most important information for a successful start to their studies and to bring them together with the entire BI community.

Our Welcome Days for all degree programs will be held September 25-29. We have decided to hold Welcome Days as a mix of online, hybrid, and on-campus events.

We will officially welcome our new students to campus from Monday to Wednesday. While enrollment and document review are taking place, our Workshop Manager, Holger Janke, will conduct his introductory safety training in the workshop for students from the Faculty of Architecture and Design.

The fourth day will be handled online. After the welcome by the President, Prof. Dr. Yüksel Pögün-Zander, there will be an introductory session by our Student Affairs Team, where all information about the "Who is who", the procedures and facilities of the university, the study guide, and among others information about the timetables will be given. It continues with a Library Info Session and an MS Teams training for the students to ensure they are familiar with the learning management software. The day rounds up with a joint bus tour through Berlin.

On Friday, the last day, students are assigned and receive an introduction to the programs by their respective program directors. This will be conducted hybrid - on campus with the option of online participation for those facing visa delays and travel restrictions.

Equipped with all the necessary information and being fully enrolled, students will enjoy a guest lecture by Rouven Sperling - Project Manager Talent at International Berlin Partner for Business and Technology, and learn how to navigate as an International Student successfully.

On the same day, students will have the opportunity to meet and interact with the Student Council and the Berlin International Alumni Association.

The Welcome Days will conclude with a joint Semester Welcome Party at Schleusenkrug with fellow students from all programs to while away the week and to get to know each other.
