Objects with Soul
SS 2020 || 4. Sem. || GD/PD Project 2 || Prof. A. Tibus, Prof. J. Lehr, Dipl. Des. Meike Langer, Prof. J.C. Hillmann-Regett
Can only humans or animals have a soul? Driven by technology, the world of objects starts behaving like living organisms,or as if they had a soul. Planning animistic behaviour into objects is a gold mine for aspiring designers. It opens new opportunities for fascinating product qualities. This exhibition features soulful household helpers: They can foster positive emotional reactions like surprise or wonder. They offer to support engagement, or a stronger bond with the human.
One thing is for sure: We can no longer ignore objects with soul, because they are alive!
