Implementation of Robotic Process Automation at DRV
Due to the constantly changing market conditions, companies must permanently adapt their service offering.
The German Pension Insurance (DRV), which with its 59,000 employees serves around 56 million insured persons and almost 21 million pension recipients in Germany and abroad, is also undergoing constant change.
Aligned with its digital strategy, the German Pension Insurance (DRV) has introduced Robotic Process Automation. This is because DRV aims to achieve significant service benefits by automating processes and reducing error rates.
An article about the introduction of a Robotic Process Automation-based transformation process for services at DRV was recently published in the journal MD Praxis der Wirtschaftsinformatik 2021. The article was written by one of our BI professors, Prof. Dr. Hasan Koç, and his co-authors from DRV, Wilhelm Weisweber and Marcus Lüttke.
In general, there is an increasing interest in Robotic Process Automation both in the literature and in practice, but contributions in the context of the public sector are rather rare.
