BI conference: Book publication with Routledge
At the end of 2019, Carola Ebert, Professor of Interior Design, History and Theory of Architecture and Design at BI, signed a book contract with UK publisher Routledge for the publication of Theorising Interior Design. Identities - Practice - Education.
The edited volume expands on the 2018 conference provocatively titled Interior - Inferior - In Theory? Contemporary Positions on Interior Design Theory, organized by Prof. Ebert and Berlin International in cooperation with Architektenkammer Berlin, Bund Deutscher Innenarchitekten BDIA, the European Council of Interior Architects ECIA and Netzwerk Architekturwissenschaft.
The book will comprise of 20 chapters in five sections, exploring notions of Identity, Time, Practice, Education and Beyond, plus two interviews – bringing together contributions by leading, established and emerging interior design educators, researchers, theorists and professionals from North and South America, Europe, South Africa, Turkey, Iran, Indonesia, and Australia.
