Last month, BI students participated in an Ecosystem Tour at Betahaus headquarters in Kreuzberg. The event was organized by the BI Career Center and sponsored by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
The event started with a guided tour of Betahaus: the host, creative producer Idil Serifoglu, showed the students the co-working spaces and introduced the ecosystem and its design. Following the tour, Madeleine Gummer von Mohl, co-founder of Betahaus, gave an inspiring speech about the benefits of co-working. She spoke about the challenges and opportunities of co-working and explained that Betahaus not only provides space, but also access to a great community and networking program for entrepreneurs, start-ups and creatives. This setup allows them to share know-how, ideas and contacts more intensively, as well as to grow personally and professionally.
The tour helped BI students get a holistic overview of the benefits of co-working and flexible working models in general. They also had the opportunity to meet with successful freelancers, who shared their experiences, insights and recommendations. These contributions raised awareness of important issues from the perspective of freelancers in Germany and digital nomads in general.
In addition to a fantastic visit experience, the Betahaus team enabled our students to become part of Germany's second largest startup hub by offering them a special membership discount.
We would hereby like to thank Betahaus for the great tour through their house and their valuable input!
