BI Graduation - Class of 2023
Berlin International University of Applied Sciences (BI) honored its graduates of the Class of 2023 in the degree programs of the Faculty of Architecture and Design and the Faculty of Business Administration on Saturday, October 21.
The Graduation Ceremony took place at Urania Berlin, a renowned movie theater and a prominent venue of the Berlinale.
The ceremony began with a speech by the President of Berlin International University of Applied Sciences, Prof. Yüksel Pöğün-Zander, Ph.D. She welcomed our graduates, their families, honored guests, and members of the BI community. Afterward, the Chancellor of Berlin International, Turgut Tülü, representing the Chairman of BAU Global Network, Enver Yücel, congratulated the graduates on their hard-earned success.
On this occasion, the Vice President of BAU Global Network, Serdar Şenel, presented the DAAD Special Award to Cecilia Vania Burgoa Diaz for her outstanding academic achievements. This award symbolized the dedication and excellence that Cecilia consistently demonstrated.
In addition, the Deans of the Faculty of Architecture and Design and the Faculty of Business Administration presented the "Best Student", "Best Bachelor's Thesis" and "Best Master's Thesis" awards to the respective students who had shown unwavering commitment and perseverance throughout their academic journeys. These awards served as a testament to the outstanding dedication and commitment of these students. Congratulations to all of you!

One of the most memorable moments of the event was the heartfelt and inspiring student address delivered by Nora Gustaffson Rida, a graduate from the BA of Interior Architecture/Interior Design. In her speech, Nora shared her reflections on their unique journey, emphasizing the remarkable transformation they had undergone during their time at BI.
Reflecting on the journey, Nora marveled at how quickly their years of study had come to an end. During her speech, she acknowledged the unique nature of their university experience, with a decade's worth of events condensed into just a few years. Nora concluded her address by reminding her fellow graduates that this graduation marked not an end but the beginning of an exciting and lifelong journey. She encouraged them to choose careers they were passionate about and to cherish the valuable lessons they had learned at Berlin International.
As the event drew to a close, the students were called to the stage to receive their well-deserved diplomas as a recognition of their continuous hard work and dedication during their studies at Berlin International.
This year’s graduation ceremony of Berlin International University of Applied Sciences was a testament to the strength, resilience, and accomplishments of the graduates, and all speeches beautifully encapsulated the collective journey and the bright future that lies ahead for each of our graduates.
