Lecture Details
- Date: April 22, 2026
- Time: 12:30 – 13:30
- Guest Speaker: Katharina Matthies (MATTHIES WEBER & SCHNEGG)
- Lecture Title: Exhibition graphics – a space-forming medium
About the Lecture
Exhibition graphics are an often underestimated design discipline that extends across all areas of exhibition design.
Graphics are omnipresent and play a key role in improving both the content and the visual experience of exhibitions. When combined with disciplines such as interior design, lighting, and interactive media, they can have a transformative effect on exhibitions.
About the Speaker
Katharina Matthies studied Industrial Design at the Berlin University of the Arts, graduating in 2005.
She gained early experience as a freelancer at the Berlin-based design agency NEXT, working in print and web media as well as photography. Since 2005, she has been working independently as a designer for exhibitions and interactive media installations.
Since 2008, she has been teaching exhibition design and digital design. She currently teaches at the Lette Association in Berlin and supports students in developing their final exhibitions.
This open lecture is part of the academic program at Whitecliffe University of Applied Sciences.
