Kristin Jermstad Gravdal was born in Oslo. She studied Architecture at the University of Edinburgh and the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile before receiving her master’s degree from the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague. In her thesis, she proposed the development of a new housing typology that does not necessarily answer all the needs of the housing market but rather takes sustainability as its highest prerogative. In recent years, she has gained professional experience in Berlin where she has participated in a variety of projects covering various stages from concept and design to final implementation. She likes to work with a multidisciplinary approach and operates at the intersection of design and art.
