Kalinka Gieseler, Diplom Bildende Kunst
Graphic Design and Visual Communication
Kalinka Gieseler graduated in Fine Art Photography from the Academy of Visual Arts Leipzig. Since graduating in 2013, she has been working as an artist and photographer. In her work, she deals with the seductive power of the image and the role of its staging. She treats photography as a physical material that is fundamentally changeable in its form and use and that constantly reconstitutes itself in the respective space and context. Her work has been exhibited internationally and has received multiple awards and grants; she was a scholarship holder of the Goethe Institute Beijing and a recipient of the DAAD Postgraduate Scholarship in Los Angeles. Furthermore, she has been working as part of the photographer duo Plzzo since 2017 – creating still life photographs for international magazines and brands. Kalinka Gieseler lives and works in Berlin.
