The "Haus der Statistik" ("House of Statistics"), a former East-German government building, is the site for a case study for new forms of municipal and public co-administration. The task was to open the building to the inhabitants of Berlin in order to facilitate information exchange and to encourage individual participation in all aspects of urban planning and city development.

Martina Dirnbacher puts a large interactive digital planning tool at the heart of her design. The integrated auditorium-like seating steps connect the exhibition and discussion zones of the ground floor with the co-working and administration spaces above.
