Prof. Pierre Escobar
Interior Architecture/Interior Design
Prof. Pierre Escobar is a French architect and urbanist and the founder of l’atelier DEV architecture.
L’atelier DEV architecture is a collaborative architecture studio working across disciplines, scales, and geographies. Based between Berlin, Brussels, and Paris, the studio engages with space as both a physical and political matter, exploring how design can respond to societal, cultural, and urban challenges.
Bringing together complementary backgrounds in research, practice, and pedagogy, L’atelier DEV architecture approaches architecture not only as a means of construction, but as a framework for critical reflection and dialogue. The studio integrates research-based methodologies and cross-cultural perspectives, drawing from academic work, cultural initiatives, and field-based investigations.
Prior to l’atelier, Pierre worked as a research assistant at the EPFL, a project leader at 51N4E, and a project architect at HHF Architekten. He was also a guest critic at ETH and the ULB as well as a guest tutor at the TU Delft, Minerva School, Krvia University, and Unical. Pierre is a certified architect in France.
