BI student reaches NY Cinematography Awards' semi-finals
It gives us great pleasure to announce that our 3rd year BA Graphic Design & Visual Communication student, Rares Matei - who also has a BI scholarship - has reached the semi- finals of the New York Cinematography Awards (NYCA). Among all the entries from around the world, Rares made it to the final round with the short film "CAREAE," for which he was the cinematographer.
With a mission to help understand the importance of cinematography to the art and craft of filmmaking, as well as to encourage and support the career development of filmmakers, the competition assists new and student filmmakers who are at the beginning of their careers with a supportive and enthusiastic audience. In addition, the competition gives them access to film industry professionals who can offer advice and other forms of career support.
