HHF architects – AFFINITIES
Lecturer: Simon Frommenwiler, Architect & HHF founding partner
Lecture abstract: Under the title AFFINITIES, Simon Frommenwiler presents projects, strategies, and architectural relationships that define HHF’s work and practice. The lecture traces how these interconnections shape the development of projects across different cultural and geographic contexts, and how they contribute to a broader methodological framework within the studio’s architectural production.
HHF abstract:
HHF architects is a Basel-based practice working at the intersection of architecture, urbanism, and cultural production. Founded in 2003 by Tilo Herlach, Simon Hartmann, and Simon Frommenwiler, HHF develops context-driven, process-oriented projects across scales and geographies. With a diverse international team, the studio engages in design, research, and teaching – including at Harvard GSD and KIT Karlsruhe – exploring architecture as a transformative and open discipline.
