How to 3D print a motorbike
With a capacity of up to one cubic meter, BigRep provides extra large volume 3D printers for professional and industrial use. The second year Product Design and Graphic Design & Visual Communication design students got an exclusive tour through the company based in Berlin-Kreuzberg. BigRep also is one of the industry partners in our current study project.
Large parts of a 3D printed electric motorcycle, incredibly diverse material surfaces, “unflatten-able” bicycle tires, metal-coated objects and countless other samples have been handed round. A number of huge 3D printers persistent printed layer by layer during the entire time of the visit.
Thanks to Michele and Mirek for the fantastic tour! We look forward to bring the students' designs to the third dimension at BigRep in a few weeks time.
