Open Lecture -Biel Huguet

HUGUET Mallorca is a family-run manufacturer of handcrafted cement, hydraulic, and terrazzo tiles that combines over nine decades of Mediterranean tradition with contemporary design and sustainability. Founded in 1933, the atelier recovers island-craft techniques and applies them to bespoke architectural solutions. 

HUGUET bridges heritage and innovation: from the artisanal production of each tile, to collaborations with world-renowned architects and designers, to sustainable practices such as the use of recyclable aggregates, low-emission cement, and zero-waste strategies.

The lecture offers insight into how materiality, craftsmanship, and environmental responsibility can converge to produce architectural finishes of enduring beauty and contemporary relevance.
