Taking Action
Taking Action: Stock Market, Securities, Strategies
Guest Lecture by Petra Greif from Börse Berlin AG
On Monday, November 3rd, 2025, students at Berlin International University of Applied Sciences were invited to explore the world of finance and investment from a fresh perspective. Hosted by Prof. Dr. Peter Mantel, the session welcomed Petra Greif from Börse Berlin AG, representing Verein Börsenplatz Berlin e.V., for a guest lecture titled “Taking Action: Stock Market, Securities, Strategies.”
Ms. Greif introduced students to the key principles of stock market trading, explaining how securities work and what drives investment strategies. She highlighted that while there are many good reasons to invest, public perception is often shaped by uncertainty and misconceptions — a topic that sparked lively discussion throughout the session.
The event concluded with an open Q&A, giving students the chance to exchange views, ask questions, and connect theory with practice.
This inspiring afternoon encouraged students to think critically about financial decision-making and to see the stock market as an essential part of today’s economic landscape.
