Exchange Experiences
Juraj Hornak, 2018 - Interior Design

I´ve heard once an interesting wisdom from one of my friends. Simple, but catchy: 'The school is not about what you learn in it. It´s about the people you meet, it´s about the environment.' Yes, environment, that´s what school is about, the small universe where things happen. I enjoyed the very small Universe of Berlin International very much. The diversity of so many different personalities on such a small ground is incredible. I´ve learned things and met people I am not going to forget ever in my life. Thank you for that very much BAU Uni(verse).

I did Erasmus at BAU International Berlin and it was one of the best experiences of my ilfe. Berlin is an artistic city, you feel is EVERYWHERE you go, you smell it, you eat it, and you breathe it! I felt so good and safe living there, that I did not want to leave. The teachers and all the staff from BAU helped me everytime I needed - they really made me feel home. I will never forget the 6 months that Berlin gave me. I grew a lot as a designer, and as a person, too. Thank you for everything - and one day I'll return to Berlin for sure :).

I was a "BAU free mover exchange student". I stayed in Berlin for 7 months and I can just say it is amazing! There is no better place to get inspired! A lot of activities, movement, mixed cultures, art...it´s full of life!! - Some advantages that BAU offers: English-instructed courses, excellent location, good environment, small groups of students and a good conditioned working space. If it keeps this way, I´m sure is going to grow and improve a lot in a short period of time. I´ll miss it like crazy!!!

(New Design University, St. Pölten, Austria)
BAU International Berlin is a small but excellent university in the heart of Berlin which not only offers interesting study courses and a broad range of projects but furthermore emphazises a warm and welcoming atmosphere where students and teachers are working together towards achieving the best results. Within four months, BAU International Berlin became an important part of my life and hopefully I also became part of BAU’s life :-).

Even though the university itself is relatively new, I am happy to have chosen BAU International Berlin. You can tell that the lecturers are qualified and impart the syllabus to the students very well. The choice of tasks for the semester was good, realistic and with a practical orientation. The working atmosphere during the classes was very friendly and the lecturers also give you extra advice in one-to-one conversations if needed. I can recommend the BAU International Berlin to everyone who is interested in the area of Interior Design!
