Graphic Design & Visual Communication
Stelan Mergenthaler, half German, half Mexican, grew up between Mexico City and Barcelona, getting the opportunity to absorb the aesthetics and culture of both countries equally.
She studied fashion design at Parsons New York and the Instituto Europeo Design, then returned to Spain to finish her studies with a Bachelor Degree in Graphic Design at BAU, Design College of Barcelona.
Having spent almost a decade in the Design industry, Stelan has been working as a freelance art director and graphic designer for publishing houses, magazines, and design agencies. Since 2017 she lives and works in Berlin, developing concepts and visuals for a wide range of clients.
Her work usually gravitates towards a minimalistic and subtle look. Particularly interested in transforming concepts into something concrete and tangible, Stelan specializes in visual Identity Design and Typography.
Since 2020, Stelan has also been teaching at HTW Berlin in the field of Communication Design.
