Research Colloquium on Government Branding
On Wednesday, October 27 at 11:00 CET, the first Research Colloquium of this semester will take place in a hybrid format. Prof. Dr. Erick Behar-Villegas and Prof. Dr. Hasan Koc from Berlin International University of Applied Sciences will present their research project. The title of their talk is "Altering Credibility through short-term Government Branding: A Digital Framing Experiment." Following the presentation, there will be an opportunity to ask questions and engage in discussion.

About Prof. Dr. Erick Behar-Villegas
Erick Behar was born in Bogotá in 1986 and subsequently grew up in the United States and Colombia. Erick studied Economics and Social Sciences at the Ruhr Universität Bochum in Germany. He then completed his master's degree in Augsburg, Germany (M.Sc. in German-French Management) and in Rennes, France (Master in International Management). He received his PhD in the area of applied cyber anthropology from Ludwig Maximilian Universität in Munich, Germany, studying candidate attractiveness and organizations from an interdisciplinary perspective. Erick has worked as a manager in the food industry and retail in Europe, with experience in SMEs and in large corporations such as the EDEKA Group. Erick was appointed Dean of Economics and Business at the Central University of Colombia after serving as Undersecretary of Economic Development and Director of Competitiveness in Bogotá. His teaching experience spans the areas of international business, branding, applied cyber anthropology, business, politics, macroeconomics, and web metrics at institutions such as CESA Business School, Central and Externado universities. He is passionate about coffee and agriculture. He co-founded a start-up company in Colombia in the honey and fruit sector, among other entrepreneurial projects in other sectors. Erick writes regularly for the prestigious Latin American magazine Revista Dinero, covering topics such as idiosyncrasy business and branding. Erick speaks and writes in 8 languages. He is the author and editor of several books and articles on international business and applied cyber anthropology, as well as a new novel on Latin American legalism.
About Prof. Dr. Hasan Koc
Hasan Koç, born in 1985 in Iskenderun, Turkey, has a double degree from FH Reutlingen and Yeditepe University Istanbul and a PhD in Business Informatics from the Rostock Universität. He has professional experience in IT management and has published papers in the areas of Enterprise Modeling, Method Engineering, Enterprise Architecture Management, Capability Management, and Digital Service Innovation. Dr. Koç's current research topics Platform Economies, Business Model Transformation, and Data Science. In his personal life, Koç enjoys spending time with his family. He is a passionate musician and has released three albums and one single as a guitarist with his bands.
