In order to ensure a successful start to the studies at Berlin International, the Welcome Days for the new academic year 2020/21 took place again this year. The goal of the event, which lasted several days, was to provide our first-year students with the most important information for a successful start to their studies at Berlin International (BI).
Our Welcome Days for all study programs took place from October 28 to 30. Due to the ongoing corona pandemic, we decided to hold the Welcome Days as a combination of online and on-site events.
On the first day, we gave a warm welcome to our new students on campus. While the registrations and document review took place, our Workshop Manager, Holger Janke, held his introductory courses in the workshop for the students of the Faculty of Architecture and Design.
The second day was conducted online. The students were given access to the virtual info session, which was conducted via Adobe Connect. They received all information about the services for students, general offers of the university, and among other things information about the security and hygiene measures on campus.
On the third day, we welcomed the new students back on campus. The students were assigned and received an academic introduction by the respective Head of Program.
During the Welcome Days 2020, the new students had the opportunity to get to know their new fellow students and make friends.
We are very pleased that we were able to hold our traditional Welcome Days despite the current Corona pandemic and to welcome the students personally on campus.
We wish all students a successful start into the winter semester and a successful study time at Berlin International (BI)!
