Open Lecture with Prof. Dr. Florian Artinger
We are very pleased to invite you to our third Open Lecture this semester on January 27th at 18:00 CET. This time, Prof. Dr. Florian Artinger - Head of the B.A. in Digital Business & Management at Berlin International, will talk about „Augmented Intelligence: Combining Human and Machine Intelligence“.
About the talk
Do machine learning algorithms make better decisions than humans? Given the abundance of data and computational power, the widespread assumption is that this must be the case. At the least this is what many tech companies but also politicians and even scientists propagate. Using a diverse set of examples ranging from shopping at Amazon to court decisions in the US, this lecture will challenge this assumption. It will show when one best relies on human judgment, when on machine learning, and when one best combines both.
Join the event and get inspired!
The Open Lecture is open to everyone and will be held online.
