Open Lecture with Inge Somers
On Thursday, the 14th of January at 17:00 CET the next Open Lecture will take place online. Our guest speaker, Inge Somers, will present her lecture "Interior Accelerating in Theory. Five Tendencies from Psychological Concern to a New Material Orientation".
Inge Somers is an interior architect with 15 years of expertise as an interior practitioner. In 2006 she joined the interior program at the University of Antwerp as lecturer and researcher. She holds a PhD in interior architecture (2017). In her PhD research she investigated the identity issues of the interior discipline. Since 2019, she is tenure-track docent at the faculty of Design Sciences of the University of Antwerp where she has also been coordinator of the interior programmes (Bachelor and Master).
Drawing on her PhD research, this lecture addresses the question and parameters of a theory of the interior, a research topic on which she has published and lectured internationally.
If you are interested in the different forms of knowledge in interior architecture and design, don't miss out on the chance of meeting with Inge Somers and learning from her insights.
Students of Architecture, Interior Architecture/Interior Design, Graphic Design & Visual Communication, and Business Administration are more than welcome to join for some meaningful interdisciplinary learning.
The Open Lecture is open to everyone, also outside the BI community, and will be conducted via ZOOM. Click here to join the lecture on the 14th of January 2021.
