Desmond Ahia is from Ghana. He is a Certified Accountant and a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), United Kingdom. He holds an MBA from the University of Coburg in Germany and a Bachelor in Accounting from Valley View University in Ghana. Desmond has demonstrable experience in Accounting, Financial and Regulatory Reporting, Financial Planning, and Analysis in high-performing multicultural environments. A greater part of his career was with Barclays Bank Ghana. He also worked with the Minerals Commission of Ghana, Daimler Mobility AG, and currently with AUTO1 Group both in Germany. He has deep knowledge of IFRS, financial statement preparation, and analysis, and is successful at developing models or reporting tools that ensure efficiency, accuracy, optimizes processes, and increases performance.
